Witz is an informational discovery layer for comedy shows. By using the public catalog, you agree to use it lawfully, respectfully, and only in ways that do not harm Witz, event organisers, venues, performers, other visitors, or third-party services.
Unless Witz explicitly says otherwise, Witz is not the organiser, ticket seller, merchant of record, payment processor, refund provider, or contracting party for third-party event purchases.
Platform Role
Event details may come from organisers, venues, public pages, ticketing platforms, publication snapshots, and editorial corrections. Listings can change, sell out, be cancelled, contain errors, or be subject to restrictions that Witz does not control.
You must verify dates, times, prices, accessibility, age limits, language, venue details, refund rules, and availability with the organiser or ticket seller before relying on a listing or buying a ticket.
Acceptable Use
You may use Witz for personal event discovery, lawful sharing of event links, and normal search-engine indexing that respects robots instructions and does not degrade the service.
You must not use Witz for unlawful, deceptive, harmful, discriminatory, harassing, exploitative, or privacy-invasive activity. You must not use Witz to stalk, profile, re-identify, target, dox, threaten, or spam performers, organisers, venues, visitors, or any other person.
Prohibited Technical Activity
You must not attack, overload, probe, scan, reverse engineer, bypass, disrupt, scrape at harmful volume, crawl around published limits, inject malware, interfere with caching, access non-public systems, or attempt to obtain data that is not intentionally published to the public site.
You must not use bots, scripts, data pipelines, scrapers, browser automation, or repeated requests in a way that harms availability, evades rate limits, ignores blocking signals, creates security risk, or extracts the catalog for resale, spam, surveillance, model training, lead generation, or competitive bulk replication without written permission.
Event Data and Content Rights
Witz and its licensors retain rights in the site, interface, curation, metadata, compilation, and original copy. Event organisers and third-party sources retain rights in their own materials.
You may link to public Witz pages. You may not copy, mirror, republish, sell, sublicense, or build a substitute service from substantial parts of the catalog unless Witz gives written permission or applicable law requires otherwise.
Third-Party Tickets and Services
External ticket sellers, organisers, venues, maps, location providers, payment processors, and social platforms are independent from Witz. Their own terms, privacy notices, prices, fees, refund policies, entry rules, and security practices apply.
Witz is not responsible for third-party checkout, ticket fulfilment, refunds, cancellations, venue access, safety conditions, performer changes, or any dispute between you and a third party.
Security and Enforcement
We may throttle, block, challenge, remove access, preserve logs, investigate, report, or take legal action against activity that appears unlawful, abusive, malicious, security-threatening, privacy-invasive, or inconsistent with these terms.
If you use Witz for business, automated, unlawful, or prohibited purposes, you are responsible for losses, claims, costs, and reasonable expenses that arise from that use to the extent permitted by applicable law.
No Guarantee
The public catalog is provided on an as-is and as-available basis. Witz does not guarantee uninterrupted availability, complete accuracy, current ticket availability, error-free search results, or continued publication of any listing.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law, including mandatory consumer rights in the European Union.
Changes
We may change the site, catalog, providers, policies, and these terms when needed for product, security, legal, or operational reasons. The version shown on this page is the current public-site version.
