Jules has finally received the instructions for her brain. Turns out she's been trying to assemble IKEA furniture with a Lego manual.

Getting diagnosed with ADHD and autism as an adult is like finding out you've been playing life on hard mode. Suddenly, everything makes sense: why small talk feels like advanced calculus and why there are seventeen half-finished projects scattered around the house.

This show is about the relief of finally understanding yourself, the rage at all those wasted years masking, and the absurdity of navigating a neurotypical world when your brain runs on a different operating system. It's about the joy of discovering that thing you thought made you broken is actually just... different. And sometimes, hilariously inconvenient.

This show is a celebration of finally meeting yourself properly, of personal growth with a side of existential crisis, and of finding your people when you thought you never would. It's about being late to your own party and realizing you brought exactly what was needed: yourself, unmasked and unapologetic.

About Jules

Jules Oakes is a British born standup comedian who ran away to Germany to escape divisive politics (lol). Jules has been performing across Europe since 2018, and has opened for a variety of comedians, including Jamie Lee, Joe Bor, and Nathan Caton.

Jules' comedy has been described as absurd, quirky, and warm. Her debut solo hour, "Fragile", is a deeply personal expression of the experience of being a late diagnosed AuDHD woman. Catch it now, before she takes it the the Edinburgh Fringe Festival this August.
